About Lirios Pediatrics:

Lirios Pediatrics was founded out of the desire to create a pediatric clinic for children who fall through the cracks of the existing health care system – we are now the only 100% free clinic in Texas exclusively serving kids without insurance. Our six-person team’s commitment is to ensure that if a child is uninsured, they will have no barriers to accessing high-quality care at no cost. Providing wellness checks, sick visits, mental health care, and immunizations, we are a trusted medical home delivering the necessary support that children need to thrive in health, looking to achieve the goal of serving 3,000 uninsured youths by 2028!

Who We’re Looking For

Lirios Pediatrics is looking for a mission-driven, hands-on nonprofit leader who excels in community engagement, fundraising, and strategic execution to expand care for our clients while strengthening operations and fostering a collaborative, high-impact culture. Our priority for this role is a candidate who has a strong background in organizational leadership – a background as a medical provider or doctor is not required!

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Foster an internal culture of excellence, equity and inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement among staff, volunteers and the board of directors

  • Partner with the board of directors to support governance, strategic planning and execution, and critical organizational oversight

  • Communicate regularly with the board of directors both during and outside of scheduled board meetings around organizational progress, staff, financial updates and service updates

  • Partner closely with the Medical Director regarding clinical operations

  • Set clear and mission-aligned strategies focused on program innovation, growth, and long-term sustainability

  • Manage, support, and supervise a growing team of direct reports

Operational Management

  • Ensure organizational compliance by maintaining accurate, up-to-date records and documentation related to accreditation of the clinic, clinicians, and other appropriate licensing, etc.

  • Financial management including budgeting, expense control, and continuous effective resource use

  • Serve as the primary liaison to the board of directors, supporting board development and engagement

  • Collaborate with the board of directors to set priorities, evaluate progress, and adjust strategies as needed

Community Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as a visible, engaged ambassador for Lirios Pediatrics, actively building relationships with community partners, public officials, donors, and stakeholders

  • Identify and engage strategic partnership opportunities to build and maintain community engagement and awareness of Lirios Pediatrics’ services

Fundraising & Development

  • Assess and strengthen existing development systems, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth and innovation

  • Be an active participant to lead grant, philanthropic, and sustaining donor to ensure Lirios is sustainable

  • Partner with and oversee the existing development team to build and execute a comprehensive, diversified fundraising plan

  • Work with Lirios leadership to expand the existing development team, including the hiring of a Director of Development

Who You Are

Core Qualifications

  • Passionate and invested in the mission of Lirios Pediatrics and equitable health care experiences and outcomes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically related to community engagement and partnership

  • Strong relationship-builder focused on fostering trust and stewarding new and existing partnerships across funders, community partners, clients, staff, volunteers, and the board of directors

  • Significant experience in people management, nonprofit organizational leadership background preferred

  • Innovative and systems-level thinker with an understanding of growth, scaling, and driving nonprofit impact

  • Demonstrated experience fundraising with foundations, funders/grantors, and individual donors, with particular attention to donor strategy and development team support

  • Sharp attention to detail to ensure data and compliance excellence, including (but not limited to) compliance issues, maintaining accurate records and documentation for medical requirements, grant reporting, licensing, and fiscal duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Experience supporting demographics similar to that of Lirios Pediatrics’ clients (underserved, low-income backgrounds, un- or underinsured populations, BIPOC or Latine communities)

  • Roots and connections in the Central Texas nonprofit landscape

Our Paid Time Off (PTO) and Vacation program increases with tenure:

  • 1-5 years of service: 10 PTO days annually

  • 5-10 years of service: 15 days of PTO annually

  • 10-20 years of service: 18 days of PTO annually

  • 20+ years of service: 20 days of PTO annually

In addition, Executive and Director-level employees receive 5 additional days of paid vacation per year.

As we work to establish medical, dental, and vision plans, full time employees are eligible for a benefits stipend of up to $100 per pay period.
